Young People's Climate Debate

It's Young People who will be the worst affected by Climate Change.

Luckily for Our Planet, young people are taking matters into their own hands in the fight to prevent a Climate Disaster.

Campaigns like #fridaysforfuture have created Global Movements linking people on all continents with common desire to change the way we live our lives and make Governments act.

An example of this is #youth4climatejusthttps://linuxize.com/post/how-to-unzip-files-in-linux/ice who are stating that basic human rights are being taken away from them; in their 'right to life' legal action against 33 Countries including the UK.

Kids on The Green

Kids on the Green’s centre is an arts-based community resource for all ages which delivers a variety of creative sessions and workshops to those affected from the local community.

The focus is to offer respite, and enrichment fusing a timetable of activities such as circus skills, music, drama, with access to therapies such as counselling, psychotherapy, yoga, massage, acupuncture and homeopathy.

It aims to help children and young people affected by the tragedy feel more confident about their futures and to ensure they feel listened to and can access all the service they require.

You can access all of the activities from KOTG’s base at Unit 12 Latimer Road, W10 6RQ.

Public Participation

Tips

If possible use ear piece with microphone to get the best sound quality. Connect to your internet via a wired connection not wifi.

Terms

By agreeing to speak at this event you understand it will be live streamed to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and made publicly available afterwards, unless there is good reason, but we hope to avoid such scenarios.

Safegaurding

The following measures will be used in all sessions to ensure that all participants including children and young people are protected while taking part in our event.

Abusive or inappropriate behaviour by any other attendee at the event will not be tolerated and the offending person will be immediately removed from the session and potentially referred to the appropriate authorities.

At no point will children and/or young people be in one-on-one conversation with any single other person. There will always be a Host/ Co-Host or representative of one of the youth organisations (all of whom have safeguarding policies in place) present.

Although we recognise that being able to see one another helps sessions feel more interactive and personal, we respect that some people including children and/young people may wish to turn their video feed off, or parts of it. They can do this using the “Stop Video” button at the bottom of their screen.

Thank you!
